flash fiction:
a style of fictional literature or fiction of extreme brevity
I propose to start a weekly flash fiction post. Each week I'll write a piece and title it, and then you write a piece with the same title and leave it as a comment! Instant publication, peeps! This week's prompt is my piece's title:
"Stewardess"
‘Daddy was a conman, mamma was a dancer. Daddy left us in a car wreck and mamma was left with six babies.' Annette looked down at her hand. Finger in a ‘v’ and pinning her wineglass to the bar.
‘That’s a story.’ Dan’s eyes gleamed like his teeth. Happy to have such easy momentum. Such fodder.
He didn’t know the half of it.
‘I bet you took after your mamma.’ She felt his gaze hook into the length of her neck. But she wouldn’t let it catch. She looked up and used the smile that suggested what it was he wanted. She was equally her daddy’s girl.
So, leave your own "Stewardess" inspired words!
I don't understand the challenge. Are we supposed to build off your story? Because that would be fun. Or are we supposed to write a story with the title, "Don't Blink" or "Stewardess"?
ReplyDeleteThe prompt is 'Stewardess,' but you can build off my story if ya'd like! Good questions :p
